What We Collect

Oblysk collects: your email address and name (via Clerk authentication), websites you choose to track, and scan results. We do not sell your data.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide AI visibility reports, send email alerts you configure, and improve our service. Scan results are stored to enable historical tracking and trend analysis.

Third-Party AI Services

When you scan a brand, Oblysk sends the brand name, website URL, and business category to AI services to analyze how your brand appears in AI-generated responses. We use: OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and Perplexity. We do NOT send your personal information (email, name, payment details) to AI providers. AI providers process the query and return a response; they do not retain your brand data beyond the request.

Cookie Usage

We use the following cookies: Clerk authentication cookies (necessary, always active) and PostHog analytics cookies (require your consent). You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie banner or footer link.

AI Bot Tracking Script

Our optional tracking script detects AI crawler visits to your website. It only identifies known AI bot user-agents and does not track human visitors or collect personal information.

Data Retention

Scan data: retained for the duration of your account (free tier: 30 days, Starter: 3 months, Pro: unlimited). Bot tracking events: 90 days. Audit logs: 12 months. Cookie consent records: 5 years. You can export or delete all your data at any time from Settings.

Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to: access your data (Settings > Export Data), delete your data (Settings > Delete Account), withdraw cookie consent at any time, and request information about how your data is processed. Contact us for any data request.

Oblysk complies with: GDPR (EU), CCPA/CPRA (California), PIPEDA (Canada), CPA (Colorado), CTDPA (Connecticut), UCPA (Utah), VCDPA (Virginia), TDPSA (Texas). Users in these jurisdictions have specific rights described in this policy.
